This large townhouse is a convenient base for exploring Newcastle and Northumberland. The city is a happy blend of ancient and modern - at its heart is the historic quayside redevelopment area. Explore the city's Roman heritage, maritime history, first class museums, galleries and do some shopping in elegant Eldon Square or the massive Metro Centre, see the Angel of the North sculpture at Gateshead. Exploring further afield is easy. Using public transport you can get to Hadrian' s Wall which you can walk on. This is now a World Heritage Site.
