Victorian army barracks inside a 16th century fortified castle. Floodlit at night, the castle faces out to sea on its own peninsula with breathtaking views across the rugged Cornish coastline. You'll find safe sandy beaches and the South West Coastal Footpath nearby as well as a host of attractions including Seal Sanctuary and Maritime Museum.

Follow A39 avoiding Town Centre towards Docks and Beaches. From roundabout outside Falmouth Docks, follow English Heritage signs 100 yds up hill and then across to sea front. Hostel is within castle grounds.
