Shining Cliff Hostel

Set in the beautiful Shining Cliff Wood and offering basic accommodation (no shower), the hostel is ideal as a base for walking, cycling or exploring Peak Practice country. The National Tramway Museum and Carsington Water are nearby. Despite the sense of remoteness, Shining Cliff is easy to reach being midway between Derby and Matlock in the Derwent Valley.

Getting There

From Ambergate cross river by church. Cyclists up hill, turn R into woods by 3rd farm (Netherpark). Walkers turn R by river, through works yard and down lower path through woods. From Wirksworth-Belper road, turn L at Packhorse Farm crossroad down lane and L into woods at Netherpark Farm.
