Thirlmere Hostel
A small hostel with limited facilities (no central heating or T.V.) but lots of character. Formerly the village school in the hamlet of Legburthwaite, just off the main A591 Windermere-Keswick road (the bus stops here). Ascend Helvellyn's west flank or climb classic Lakeland crags - Castle Rock and Raven Crag. Continental breakfast only - no other meals.
